A wet night in Burry Port

I was concerned that my efforts would be unrewarded, but was happy to find my first Large Ranunculus since 2018!

Unfortunately my usual piece of slate was out in the downpour so I had to use the conservatory tiles and boost it with flash to get a decent image.

I was intrigued by a red-brown moth that I didn't immediately recognise. My thoughts were Chestnut - and so it proved - I believe this is Beaded Chestnut, a new moth for me and my garden.

The ground colour, narrow oval, dark "beads" and pale wing edges seem to confirm my diagnosis.
