Mixed moth morsels....

 Maggie James very recently had a white-letter hairstreak in her garden at Trimsaran near Llanelli.

This elm-feeder has previously turned up in gardens at Pwll and Hendy (west and east of Llanelli respectively).

At the other end of the county, in the Twrch valley north of Llanycrwys, Ffarmers, Arfon Williams recently reported his capture of a large tabby in his shed and, `hot off the press`, Philedone gerningana, a scarce bilberry-feeding upland tortricid that had wandered from the hill country surrounding his garden.


He also caught a  Hypsopygia glaucinalis...
