Look who was lurking under my garage door this afternoon....
It certainly was n`t there yesterday and I did n`t trap last night, so this leopard moth must have simply chosen this daytime resting position of its own accord.
Later, I visited a remnant brownfield area near `The Channel` in the New Dock area of Llanelli, as I wanted to see if some dittander Lepidium latifolium was in flower - it was, but the huge clumps of this white-flowered crucifer will be doomed when this site is redeveloped. Interestingly, I flushed several diamond-backed moths from this area of dittander.
Nearby, a Cotoneaster in flower caught my eye and on it was a burnet companion.
