I've just had my annual week's moth-ing 'holiday' at FSC Orielton, south of Pembroke, trapping in the varied and interesting territory at Stackpole, Bosherston and Freshwater West. Being more than a little weary on returning yesterday evening I put only a single small actinic trap out. Plenty of moths attended, and I was delighted to see two of the area's 'signature' species:
Cloaked Carpet Sharp-angled Carpet
Recently the wind seems to have been a southerly one, but very few micros appeared in the Pembrokeshire traps, and a solitary Rush Veneer was all that my trap could muster last night.
Excellent pair of macros there Chris - and I've never seen either of them (insert jealous emoji here)!
