Poor weather and poor results...

The forecast for midday-early afternoon on Saturday (14/6) was dry and sunny, so off I went intending to visit the limestone/quartzite ridge near Carmel. Within fifteen minutes of my arrival, the heavy showers started, obviously driving any adult moths `to ground` and making sweeping etc impractical. I returned home to Llanelli and it was sunny!
I did, however, spot this Coleophora gryphinennella on dog-rose. A photo is shown below (not taken at the best angle to show its serrated margins).

A home trap on Saturday night was absolutely dire - about a dozen common species with the greater majority in low single figures (the only exception being heart and dart at 11 individuals). When will this `November weather` end?
