More HBHM Visits

Photos taken at 4pm yesterday.  The moth (or another one) turned up at 9.30 this morning on the same patch of Valerian.  I'll check the plants regularly for the next few days, repeated sightings might suggest that it's the same moth 'doing the rounds'.

  1. Well done Chris. To TRY to keep up with Messrs Handoll and Clarke re the `annual hummer score`, I`ve planted red valerian that is visible from both my kitchen and study windows. So, `fingers crossed`!

  2. My Red Valerian is also visible from study, kitchen and conservatory. It's taken several years for it to become established though, before this year the plants and flowers have been quite straggly. Much stronger this summer though, and attracting more insect attention. Another hummer visit at midday, that's the third sighting in 24 hours. It's only a matter of time. Ian!
