Cwmllwyd 5 & 6 June 2019

I thought that it could be worth trying to dodge the threatened rain by deploying the MV trap last night, rather than tonight. This was a mistake - the trap held 22 moths of 9 species in the trap this very cold morning. Dog walking this afternoon was, however, much more rewarding, with 3 micros: FFYs Pseudargyrotoza conwagana and what I think is Parornix anglicella (although probably have to be logged as P.sp.):

Parornix anglicella

The third micro (of some repute), was yet another Pachyrhabda steropodes, but not photographed on this occasion.

  1. Your Pachyrhabda record is interesting as it may (or actually is) be the latest on the Carms books and useful in that it suggests that it worth still looking for it - I personally have n`t had a `Pachyrhabda day` this year. I`m also waiting for a good trapping night.
