This would have been a lovely Bordered Beauty, except that it is so battered, especially as it attempted to escape just as I closed the pot. Such a pity.

A couple of moths from 18th July
I gave two hyper-active specimens a spell in solitary before photographing them this afternoon. Firstly one of two Oegoconia sp. Impossible to identify without dissection.
This would have been a lovely Bordered Beauty, except that it is so battered, especially as it attempted to escape just as I closed the pot. Such a pity.

Your Oegoconia are highly likely to be O.quadripuncta Adam, a nice record and a highly professional photograph too.
