Llansteffan moths

I thought I would post some moths for i/d as I'm stumped on a few of them, and as no-one is moth-ing at the moment, the site is quiet.
All these are caught in July of this year. Many thanks as always.

  1. 2,3+7 look like Celypha aurofasciana, which could be a good record? Only recently recorded in Glamorgan.

  2. Thanks Paul I need to wait for the powers that be to give confirmation. I love your photo's by the way.

  3. 4-6 are Marsh Oblique-barred. 6 is indeed a Scrobipalpa (dissection job i'm afraid), and 1 is probably too (certainly a Gelechiid).

  4. Brilliant Dave, all I need now is for Sam to confirm the Celypha. Many thanks to both of you.

  7. I have n`t looked at the Carms moth blog for several weeks and only now am I seeing this post.
Barry Stewart had Celypha aurofasciana at Glynhir on 1/7/17 thus probably just `pipping you at the post` Mel. Nevertheless, a great record and well done.

  8. You don't really need me to OK the Celypha aurofasciana :-) Paul and Dave are plenty good enough to go with their opinion!!! Well done Mel.
