Prompted by Ian's remarkable catches of late, I switched the porch light (actinic) on yesterday evening and was rewarded by the arrival of this Bordered Straw at about 10pm:
Shortly afterwards the wind got up and the wall was moth-free this morning, and there was only one moth, a Chestnut, in the small actinic trap which I left in a sheltered spot at the back of the bungalow.
The forecast for tonight is wet and windy so I'll probably give it a miss.
Well done, Chris! Glad that you too scored with last night`s migratory influx.
