A dead heat.....
.....with Ian's score (9 species on Saturday); we achieved that same magic total last night (Sunday) at Cwmllwyd! It was warm and we had a lot of rain, but it was the very strong winds that spoiled the night here. The trap was under cover in the Dutch barn, but moths were unable to reach it in the wind. Even so, we had two somewhat late FFYs: Dusky Thorn and Black Rustic, along with my first ever
a moth associated with Hemlock Water Dropwort and Whorled Caraway, both of which are abundant here. Particularly pleased with that one.
