Cenarth public toilets...

I haven't had a chance to do any trapping In Carmarthenshire for ages but I went walking at Cenarth on friday and one of the highlights of the trip was visiting the public toilets (no really...) on the Carmarthenshire side of the river. Inside were my first frosted orange of the year, a centre-barred sallow, a rosy rustic and a small wainscot. All were released from their rather salubrious surroundings into nearby vegetation...

  1. `Allo, allo, allo young man, what are you up to?`
    `I`m looking for moths, constable!`
`That`s a new one for me! I`d like you come to the station please`.

......actually, lighted public conveniences can be a good source for moths. Jon Baker has made useful records at Llansteffan, Sam too at Pembrey Country Pk and the toilets at Gelli Aur yielded some good moths for me in the past.

  2. I can recommend Port Eynon conveniences too if you're ever that way, had some great migrants from there.
