More of the same at Maenol
"must keep my legs crossed, he might not let me go for some time..."
No need to be embarrassed, Steve, it was much the same here last night. In spite of a forecast to the contrary it turned out clear and cool - and very moist, the outside of the trap was soaking wet this morning. Consequently there was yet another very modest catch consisting of 20 individuals, 13 species. It's been much the same since the night of September 5th when I had quite a decent turn-up. Last night was the 4th time I've trapped since then, all with much the same lack of moth activity.
Highlights of last night were FFY Black Rustic and a large Spruce Carpet.
I hope that Ian's right and conditions become more favourable later in the week.
