Mining the far west


This map shows why I've been targeting leaf-mines in the far west of the county.  Stigmella floslactella is likely to be found on almost any Hazel in Carmarthenshire, but was completely unrecorded in the far west until this week.  I have found it in the three ringed areas, most recently in SN02 (at Llandre Egremont).  Other highlights there were Phyllonorycter geniculella on Sycamore and Ectoedemia albifasciella on Oak (below).
