A couple of brief daytime stops in the Clundwern/Llandisillio area added a few more species to SN1123 and SN1118. Highlights were Barred Straw, Twinspot Carpet,
Pammene aurana and
Epinotia signatana from the former, and a
Paraswammerdamia lutarea from the latter.
The white head and grey wings typify the 'swammerdamia' group of Yponomids. This Paraswammerdamia lutarea is characterised by having a few white dots near the wing tip. It was fluttering around a Hawthorn bush, and has 20 previous Carms records.
Useful as always, Sam....and some useful records from the hardly-recorded far NW too.
