Last night at Pwll

Put out two traps at Tyrwaun last night (8.6.14) and had 49+ spp, including FFYs straw dot, pinion-streaked snout, green pug, small fan-foot, tawny-barred angle and small elephant hawk-moth. Five eyed hawk-moths were the most that I`ve had in one trap, and the pyralid Rhodophaea formosa turned up again.

Above: small elephant hawk-moth at Tyrwaun, Pwll.

Also, is the moth below a grey pine carpet? Any opinions welcomed - thanks.

As yesterday, there was a red admiral in the garden (but no moth migrants in last night`s trap); also a brimstone butterfly (female).
