I ran two MV in the garden at Cnwc last night.  I just couldn't face the 04:00 wake-up, so switched off at 12:30, by which time 81 spp had appeared.  The only species new for Cnwc was the long-winged pyralid Perinephela lancealis, but plenty of other nice things turned up too.  A light breeze kept the midges away, but perhaps also explained why smaller micros were essentially absent: 2 unIDed Coleophora, compared with 8 spp each of Pyralidae and Tortricidae).

Highlights included:
1 Beautiful Carpet (photo), 1 Beautiful Snout, 3 Scalloped Hook-tip, 3 Brussels Lace, 4 Coronet (photo), 7 Double-line (photo), 3 Lobster, 3 Heart & Dart (only my 4th record here of this common grassland moth), 1 Green Arches, 1 Green Silver-line (photo), 5 Purple Clay (photo), 1 Waved Carpet, 2 Slender Pug & 2 Phlyctaenia stachydalis.
