I've added a 'side-on' photo, not very good but it's the best I could do with such a small subject. I could hardly see the beggar, let alone photograph it!

December Moths and Mini Micros
A modest catch last night from two traps, MV and small actinic, totalling 14 moths: 3 Epirrita sp., 2 Silver Ys, 2 December Moths, one each of Pine, Common Marbled and Red-green Carpets, one Flounced Chestnut, an unidentifiable noctuid and a minute micro (photos attached). If anyone can tell me the identity of the latter I shall be very grateful, but there's not much to go on!
I've added a 'side-on' photo, not very good but it's the best I could do with such a small subject. I could hardly see the beggar, let alone photograph it!

Did you get a side photo of the micro Chris? If so, may be worth adding to the blog.
ReplyDeleteI did try very hard to get a side view but the beggar wouldn't keep still. There's one photo that might help, but do I have to write a new blog to post it or can I add it to the existing? If so, how? (forgive my ignorance!)
DeleteChris... just click on the pencil symbol. It will then [give a few seconds or so] revert to draft or whatever it`s called. You then can change/correct text or insert photos, just as if it was a new post. Once finished, you click on `update` which will be on a bar to the approx top right, and `hey presto`.
ReplyDeleteRegards - Ian.
Thanks Ian, I often wondered what the pencil symbol was for! Followed your instructions to the letter and the photo was loaded, for what it's worth.
DeleteI don't think that there will be many moth traps out tomorrow night!!
