Less of the Same

The cool, clear conditions yesterday evening were probably not as moth-friendly as those of the night before, and sure enough the numbers in the trap were much reduced, Brimstones in particular (5).  There were fewer species, too, (24) and apart from Dark Arches, Dark Sword-grass and Pink-barred Sallow (3) they were much the same as on Monday night.  No Centre-barred Sallow or Sallow this time though (they seem to be taking it in turns to appear).
