Some Garden Butterflies at Pwll

In contrast to yesterday`s deluge, Friday (16/8) was a nice day and quite a few butterflies were in the garden - a few red admirals (x3), large whites (5+), speckled wood (x1), a comma (x1) and a second brood holly blue, the latter characteristically flying comparatively high, as opposed to the lower-flying common blue (which I never get in the garden anyway).

  2. Likewise on Friday, numerous Peacocks on the buddleia together with several Red Admirables and Small Tortoiseshells, a Comma and a Small Copper. No Painted Ladies yet though.
