Put out two traps on Saturday night an actinic and MV. Seemed quite a busy night with 54 species (incl. some easy to recognise micros!) The photo being a pug with white spots I put down as white-spotted pug (??). Nothing else of real note apart from plenty of moths.
Looks like a white-spotted pug to me also.
ReplyDeleteI had one in my garden last week. The white spot on the thorax is a helpful pointer - it eliminates many other pugs and limits the final diagnosis to just 2/3.
The white spots on the sides of the abdomen are also distinct in this photo.
