Friday Trapping at Saron, Llandysul
I had 37 species which I thought was good as it was quite windy in the night and early morning when I emptied the trap. It is getting light later so did not need to get up until 5.30am and then did most of it with a torch as it was still quite dark! Oblique Carpet had me confused for a while as I have yet to get one in the pose displayed in my ID book! Usual species for time of year, new to me (and local) was a Yellow-barred Brindle actually found that evening on our office room wall. First for this year were Copper Underwing and Canary-Shouldered Thorns and Lesser Yellow Underwing.
