More from Tyrwaun, Pwll 16.7.13
Again, plenty of moths and good variety in the home traps....lots of lackey moths, yellowtails, dark spectacles and round-winged muslins, as befits a coastal site near wetlands etc. Scatterings of scalloped oaks, swallowtails and other fairly frequent species. Both beautiful and plain golden y [see photo] in trap, allowing comparison (but no silver y`s or other longed-for migrants). The pyralid garden pebble [see photo] and a nicely-marked phoenix [again see photo] added some interest.
