Set the trap again last night at my parents place just outside of Salem (a mile or so away from last week's location); a location where I've trapped before but not for a couple of years. Decent haul of 83 moths of 32 species. My highlights were garden tigers, a cinnabar, a sharp-angled peacock, a (standard) burnished brass and a couple of brussels lace (new for me). Top scorers were flame (12), double line (10) and clouded border (9).
I had trouble with a couple of them though - a bit of help required please! Is this uncertain or rustic?
And this wainscot. Is it a striped? Smoky?
Thanks!
Hi Vaughan
ReplyDeleteI have added some info regarding Rustics ID to the "Resources" section which may help.
Colin
Thanks Colin - that is very helpful.

The Wainscot is Striped - relatively broad wings for the group.
ReplyDeleteGreat thanks for that Sam - I was leaning that way having done some more checking today so thanks for the confirmation.
