A Gothic Revival?

Following my comment on an earlier blog by Chris Handoll, stating that I had not seen a gothic moth for a long time, one turned up in a trap left out last night (7-8.7.13) near Glan yr Afon LNR, Kidwelly. Also in the trap was the first of the season`s lackeys, a male.
Another trap, in rank fen/willow carr near Kymer`s Canal had a poplar grey, a local moth in the county, repeating the capture of one at Pwll, the previous night. As I left the latter trap in the evening, long grass in a flower rich meadow had lots of roosting 5-spot burnets, including the pair `in cop` shown.
